Hi! I have a 2010 FD 5 Door Hatch, Diesel 1.6lt, manual. The blower motor has been working intermittently for a while and a couple of weeks ago packed up entirely. I've managed to get the glove box, trim, etc. off to access the blower assembly and have checked the resistor, etc. I'm getting power to the blower motor, and I've managed to get it to go again with some percussive maintenance, so it looks like it's probably a dead spot on the motor. This particular model seems to have quite a different blower motor assembly that I can find in any forum posts/YouTube videos online. The motor is encased in a housing which is pretty firmly attached to the firewall. It has an under cover which needs to come off to access the motor, but there are screws around the back of the cover that are seemingly inaccessible without pretty much removing the entire dash and taking the whole heater assembly out. I got the workshop manual from allcarmanuals.com, but it's missing the section on the heater/blower system. Can anyone offer any guidance on how I'd go about replacing the blower motor? Does anyone have the workshop manual with the relevant section included? Have attached a few pics, along with a screenshot of the assembly diagram from partsouq.com (can't link, as they have some kind of session ID embedded in their URLs, so I don't think the link would work for anyone else). Thanks in advance 🙂
