My mate has a new GD Diesel, he's just advised me that twice in 5 weeks the radio has died and rebooted itself for no apparent reason. Not affected by bumps etc, anyone have any suggestions.

Mine regularly did that, and finally "puffed" out smoke from the CD slot.
Replaced under warranty twice, the first replacement had the wrong Firmware; that kept changing stations when TA operated - apparently a known problem, but the dealership had no idea or still tried it on.

Mine did it once on it's own, and then twice it froze up when I tried to make or take a call through bluetooth. The 2nd time it took so long to reboot I got scared and haven't been game enough to connect my phone again. So far it hasn't done it again. Good luck with it.

Do you know which model it is?
Mine has done the reboot thing a couple of times (among other little quirks) but I am yet to take it back to the dealer

The annoying thing with mine was that it never had any problems before the first 1000km service, so I had nothing to mention then. That said, all the radio/ipod functions work most 99% of the time
