Hey guys,

So I might be getting an i10 in the next few days. Really want DRLs on it.

Not an option from the dealer, but was wondering if these i30 lights would fit the i10 space? Similar/same shape not sure on dimensions though.

Also, another option (maybe a better option) in the Netherlands they offer these DRLs on i10s http://www.hyundai.nl/downloads/3/i10_accessoires.pdf (page 2).
If I could get hold of these headlight clusters I could swap them with mine when I get the i10.

Any help would be appreciated (I know this is an i30 forum, however there is almost nothing on this on the i10 ones, and this post does regard the i30 lights of this thread!

Thanks

Can't help with the DRL query, however regarding the pic of the headlamp assembly, check to make sure that drl's are actually fitted to that unit, as they are not illuminated in the pic and it would be bad if the design is just plastic, without the lights, actually fitted.

I hope you understand what I mean.  :undecided:

Thanks for the reply

If you scroll down on that PDF link to the second page you can see the DRLs illuminated

Have looked through the document at the DRL section, although I should admit I don't speak Dutch lol

Edit: It says "The LED lighting gives your car a sportier
face and also contributes to safety.
By day and by night you are more visible and
it makes your Hyundai i10 to a significant
appearance"

Which makes me think it's inbuilt rather than added on

Even if you are able to buy the headlight/daylight running light cluster from Holland, you'd still need the correct wiring loom, one would imagine....
And I betcha none of it will come cheap....

And then of course you've got the issue of the headlights being set up for driving on the "right" side of the road...  :whistler:

  • Sorry, but my karma just ran over your dogma.
 :wttc:

Someone has to say it....the i10 is only a 1/3rd of  the car that the i30 is. :faint:
