Hi all,

Just upgraded to a 2012 i30 Active from a 2010 i30 SLX and have noticed that a USB stick with just under 5000 songs on it (which worked perfectly on the old one) only displays 2000 tracks now.

Seems a bit of a backward step don't you think? 

I'm curious to find out how other GD Active owners with large music collections deal with this. I've thought of maybe getting a MicroSD card for my Android phone and putting the tracks on it, but will I hit the same track limit?

I'm sorry I can't help with that one as I don't have big music files, although my car is the same model as yours.

If I owned a 2012 i30 Active, lived in Aus and had 5000 music tracks, I'd test mine out for you Rodin.

If there is a limit, a work around might be to categorise your music into smaller groups by music type or styles.  Just get a few smaller capacity USB sticks and away you go.

You're got me thinking about this option.  Might be able to keep the whole family happy this way.

We are using a 16gb in ours, but nowhere near that many songs. I have created 2 directories His & Hers because our musical tastes are not that similar. I have all the good songs on my directory.
