Does the model year 2013 i30 elite with 7" nav have a factory amplifier?

My speakers and sound quality is pretty decent for a stock car and they are just paper speakers so I was wondering if they have an amifier after the headunit. I know the SR does but not sure about elite.

Reason I'm asking is if will affect my upgrade choices. I definitely do not want to change the head unit in any way and not too keen on putting aftermarket amp so if it already has one it allows for more speaker choices.

And last question if there is no amplifier can anyone tell me the power output of the stock 7" nav unit. Am I dreaming for hoping it's 4 x 50 rms? Probably more like 4 x 15 or so.

Cheers

Anybody !!!!   :undecided: :'(

Very much doubt it has a separate amp and my guess would be somewhere in the middle with amps 4 x 35 maybe. :undecided:

And the quoted watts would be PMP not RMS of course.

The power may be quoted in a GD workshop manual, but I don't know of anyone here that owns one. Your best bet would be to go to a dealer and have them search on their GDS system for you.

It's easy enough to upgrade the factory system while keeping the nav unit in place.
You'll need either a signal processor or line level converter to convert the signal from the nav unit into RCA pre outs, and then run amps off them.
I did a rather extensive install a year or so back and had similar dilemma's
