Hi all,  I have today ordered my i30 - SLX CRDi Vivid Blue.... because of the popularity of this fantastic car I have to wait 5 weeks for delivery.
I have ordered a few extra's - window tinting, rear spoiler, mud flaps.
Can anyone give me an opinion on the side protectors. Do they look any good? I haven't actually seen an i30 driving around with the side protectors.
Cheers

Hi Kayotic - great nickname :D

Welcome to the forum.

Apologies that some of the forum icons aren't showing up at the moment, so it all looks a bit naff, but don't worry it'll get sorted soon.

Hehe neither

It's photoshop playing the trick I'm afraid. My little Fergie is stone black :D

Congrats on choosing an i30. As for the side protectors I'm sure there are pics in the piccy section (esp in the Korean pics part) showing them fitted. I'm not a fan of them myself.

Thanks for the welcome Hemmi.
Twin exhausts? Very nice.

I can see now Shambles where you said your Fergie (love it) was stone black (missed that section originally).
Thanks for the heads up on the pictures. I'll check them out, just wish I could see one with the protectors in real life
to make a fair decision.

Welcome Kayotic

Very nice choice of vehicle...

Feedback from a couple who have had the side protection is that they help a bit.. but because they are mounted low don't think you would get protection from big 4WD doors in carparks...

They don't look too bad on white but will blend in (be less obvious on a vivid blue) I will photoshop some on to a vivid blue if I get a chance... (got to work all day today - for once :'()

I would say that those strips are too dark and that they wouldn't be so stark on the real thing, (thanks for the overview though Dazz :D).  The black plastic is a bit "softer".

If you look at the pix of mine, the black would show about the same as the bumper protectors fitted to my one.

Cheers

Actually, I think we now have 4 members from the currently bloody wet Sunshine Coast.
