Hello, I picked up my brand New Hyundai I30 last week, its black I did not go for the supagard, so washed and waxed the car with Turtle wash and then turtle wax platinum series, the car is brand new, and I would like any advice on if I'm using the right products as it was very difficult to apply and let the result was not as good as I expected? thanks

Hi NO1 :D welcome to the club.

Where in the UK are you?

Anyway, I have the SupaGard already applied so I can't comment on what you did, although to be honest the UK weather is so topsy turvy that I'm surprised you managed to wax it at all

Welcome to the club.

I cant comment on the Turtle Wax range, it's years since I used it but I can remember that their wax products USED to be killer to get off as it crumbled on application which then left lumps of undried wax which you then proceeded to have to rub for what seemed like hours to get it off.

My personal recommendation is the Autoglym range and the other cleaning expert in the club would recommend Meguiars :D

Cheers

Hi, thanks for the welcome, Im very happy with the car so far, im based in Brighton, to be honest im not sure which wax is best as I have read several conflicting forums and autocar surveys, my main concern is that I dont want to use a product that could jeopardise the warranty, I have checked the manual but there is nothing specific in this regard.  thanks
