Hi,

could someone point me tell me or point me in the direction of the differences between the brief UK 2010 to 2011 Classic 1.4 petrol model & the general 2007 to 2010 i30 1.4 petrol (classic if it was called that then)?

What are the differences in appearance and the differences within?

From googling, it appears that it only existed between 2010 & 2011 before the complete new facelift occurred to the current i30 look.

Thanks for any info.

You would need another UK member to help with that. A Classic in UK haven't same trim as a Classic in other countries. Other countries doesn't even use the classic and Premium terms, but e.g. SX/SLX so might not be as easy as you would think....

You may find what you want by browsing used car sites like this one

For each car you can see the spec and the equipment.  There are other used car sites you could try via Google

Hope that helps

First obvious one for me is that the 1.4 petrol engine did not come along until the facelift of the FD model (10/11), the original 07-10 FD petrol was only the 1.6 engine.

The Classic designation did not occur until the facelift either IIRC, from memory I think that the facelift also coincided with the manufacture of the i30 for the UK market changing to the new plant in Nosovice, prior to that plant all 1st generation cars were built in Korea.
