Went to this great little Museum in Wynyard with my friend Dorian on Thursday afternoon and decided to make a little slideshow video of the best cars on show. Even met the founder/owner Francis Ransley who is very seldom there. He was measuring something up for another restoration. Bonus short video about Francis (he's real old like "our" Alan)

Thanks Dazz some good old chuggers there, I also found some video of Francis's water speed records in 82-83, hammering across the water at 140mph will put a smile on ya dial

Thanks Craig, He's a real character. I told him his volunteer guide was brilliant and deserved a pay rise... He wasn't amused.

The Volunteer would have been around 80 Y/O too.

I could spend hours in a place like that, but must be sure not to have the wife along. She would wave through in 10 mins and then sit tapping her foot wondering what the beep would take me so long...

My friend Dorian found it fascinating as several of the cars had a Scottish link or were from near where he was born (Argyle in Scotland )

He was definitely a Ford man! I hid my car deep in the car park.

That video of his speed record was taken at Rosevears in Tasmania.  That's on the Tamar river just north of Launceston.

Thanks Dazz, those power boat racers in those years, very brave! they raced in open power boats, today the boats are closed in driver has oxygen . a lot of people where killed in the open boats.

No worries.  We might be able to catch up for a cuppa if you would like. We are in Devonport.  There is another excellent car museum in Launceston.  The National Car Museum of Tasmania. Larger and all ages of vehicles including many classic bikes. I have done a video of that one on youtube too... MrDazzer007
