G'day to all of you!
I have a problem and it just drives me mad... I have one i30 2009 (just over 71000 on the clock), no any big issues until yesterday... I parked the car in an open parking for 4 hours in a pretty hot day and the LCD screen is blank now... If I want to read the screen, I have to turn on the blue backlight by pressing the  "DARK " button. Everything else works well : radio, CD player,  Aux connected to my ipod, clock, temp,...  but no any information on the screen with the blue backlight off. I had left the car to "cool down" overnight and I still have the problem and it's useless to activate the backlight during daytime... I wish I had some sun shades.... but never thought about that before. Any ideas or suggestions?
Thank you very much for your time ! Have a great weekend!

Hi, Yannis, yes, the LCD is crap when it gets hot. I remember asking the same questions when I got the car. I was told it would return to normal when cool. It did. Never had it fail completely. Maybe you should join those of us looking into replacent options in this forum. :victory:

On my FD, the "dark" button turned the backlight off. Does everything happen upside down where you lot live?
