Car Registrations - SMMTYear to date new car sales show that KIA have now overtaken Hyundai sales in the UK. Hyundai have increased market share by 2.3% and KIA by 5%.
Both are leaving Honda, Citroen, Fiat, Mazda and Renault trailing in their wake and are now quickly homing in on Toyota.
Some brands are losing market share year by year at rates that must be worrying their shareholders - notably Jeep, Lexus, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Renault, Subaru and Vauxhall. Even ford are slipping down the league table.
September sales of diesel cars has crashed by 21.7% compared with last September (a month when car sales usually peak because of the Reg No change) and hybrid sales have increased by 42%
