Coolant capacity
September 23, 2020, 08:39:03
Hey there,
Just wanted to ask what the coolant capacity was for the 2010 fd 1.4 in the owners book it shows for the 1.6 as 6.0 litres coolant and for the 2.0 litres 6.6 litres .
So I'm guessing I need to use 6.0 litres on my 1.4 if I'm correct?
So that 3 litres distilled water and 3 litres anti freeze so it's 50/50 correct?

I'm unsure of the coolant quantity though I'd expect slightly less than the 1.6 due to smaller block, 6ltr's should give you enough though
50/50 mix is correct

Cheers mate, I downed 3 litres of de ionised water and a liter of coolant till the radiator was full also i filled the reserver with 50/50 mix.
The engine was running, manged to get most of the air out, cant drive the car no insurance or road tax going to check the levels to day
Hopeimg I can get the remaining 2 litres of coolant in.
