Hello, the head unit in my 2014 i30 started cutting in and out about 4 months ago and has now completely died (although there is still full power to it) I checked the fuses and all were in tact, so I purchased a second hand head unit which I installed today. I didn’t realise until after installation that my original head unit was a GD-01 and the second hand one I installed today is a GD-02. The GD02 has reverse camera capabilities, which my car does not have. When I turn the power on to the car now the screen only displays the blue reverse screen as in the photo provided. I googled how to ‘reset and turn off’ this function, however I can’t get to the settings/set up page to turn off the function. Any help on how to work through this issue? Or do I just need to get a GD-01 head unit (or get the original head unit fixed).
Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, I’ve had a real time trying to navigate these threads, haha. If so, can you point me in the direction of that thread? Thank you!
