Hi black zebra and welcome. The i30 appears to be quite popular in Singapore (see our google map) Is yours a 1.6 Petrol or Diesel? Why the name Black Zebra (sounds like it could be an interesting story  :winker:

Welcome black zebra.
I'm interested in what you do with your car to clock up 59,000 klms in (just over)18 months in Singapore?

Been there a few times and love the place (apart from the heat ).

It's probably a petrol, because there is a huge premium on diesel fuel in Singapore - govt taxes etc.

How much did your i30 cost Black Zebra?

$80,000 singapore dollars (which would be ~AUD $64,000)?

Hi ALL
Thank U for the welcome message!Mine is I30cw petrol, In Singapore private car owners are not allowed diesel engine.  Y name Black Zebra ha! ha!
its basicaly black in color and and theres no white but filled with chrome trimmings
i will try post some photos so the picture will tell the story!!!!!!
Theres a question how come i have clocked 59000km in 18months? The answer is the more you drive the better it becomes thats Hyundai!!!!! Actually Singapore its just across the border of Malaysia. Shopping and food is very cheap in the state of Johor of Malaysia just across Singapore about 20km from my place and petrol is only about half the price compared to Singapore. So i including other Singaporeans will always flock to Johor frequently moreover my parents also are living in Johor which is another 10km. Besides that Car are very expensive in Singapore .so why keep it , use it, the price of this car have almost doubled to about $95,000 compared to only $57,000 18 months ago. Cars population are controlled by the government so car price are up and down always but its all time high at the moment.
oh i have spoke too much, hope i answered all the questions. CHEERS!!!!!

ITS NOT HOW FAST YOU DRIVE BUT HOW FAST YOU STOP!!!!!!!!!

Yeah. I figured you must go across to Johor Bahru  and rack up the miles in Malaysia. Sounds like a fun thing to do.

What is the reasoning behind this?

Probably, their authorities constitutes by morons, just like ours
In our part of the world, the authors "believe" that only the diesel engines pollutes.
