Having my first, minor thankfully, issue with Bluebelle. My fuel cap doesn't open on the first pull on the leaver.. to get it open I've got to pull the leaver, walk around the car push the fuel cap back in, it seams to pop out a tiny bit, not enough to get it open though... and then go pull the leaver again...people look at me like I'm one of those weirdo's that forget to open the cap before they get out of the car...

She's going in for her 7500km service on Tuesday, I'm also getting my Tint fixed, and I've let them know I'm still unhappy about how the first service went and this is their final chance to prove themselves...hopefully I can get this fixed too, I did send and email to Hyundai about me issues but I'm not sure I'll get a response..

Has anyone else had the fuel cap issue?? and got it fixed??

It's a simple fix.
Happened to me only once. Unfortunately it was just a couple of days after someone else posted on here about it.
So, if mine breaks again, you're in trouble.

i have found its not a problem with the fuel flap BUT

the cord that holds the cap on so it cant get lost NEEDS TO BE PUSHED TO THE LEFT, if it makes its way over to the right hand side of the fuel filler, then it wont open properly...

go on and try it, it happened to me quite a few times, then i sat down and found the problem when i was bored...

They Fixed it on Tuesday, the service boy (looked like he was 16) tried to tell me it was just me not pulling the leaver right  :-\ and when I told him it was a known problem and explained that I was a member of the i30 forum, he was very surprised that this place even existed...never the less they fixed it and then made a big deal out of not charging me for it...warranty much! Really dislike my local dealer, will get my car serviced elsewhere i think.

My diesel-flap was difficult to open on the last fill and after eventually opening it and looking at how the retaining strap was positioned, came to the same conclusion as Agent31.

(What I don't know is if this is the same problem as others have experienced or a separate issue.)
