Hi, I've just purchased a secondhand I30 CRDI edition and I am really pleased with it.  It was first registered on the 10th June 2010 and I am trying to work out if it is eligible for the 5 year triple care warranty.  The local dealer who originally supplied it states it is only valid for the 5 year mechanical warranty and not the RAC breakdown package, however the "Honest John" website makes mention of this package being started in March 2010.   I have phoned the RAC number listed on Hyundai's website and they tell me the car is not registered with them at all (not even for the 1st year breakdown cover!).  Does anybody know when the triple care package was actually introduced?  I've Emailed Hyundai UK, but have not received a reply yet.  Many thanks in advance.

Bought my year old i30 from Franchised dealer, recently,  they state that the car is covered for a further 4 years and RAC breakdown (the triple care package)

Link to Hy UK site.

Does not mention when i30 came under this scheme.

I'm sure that scheme applicable to your car will be linked to the VIN number and will be noted in the service book.

As you have written to HY UK wait their reply.

ps Welcome to the club.....

The 5 year Triple Care was introduced on the MY2011 i30 according to this link

http://hyundai-ix35.sgpetch.co.uk/pages/warranty

The booklets that come with the car should state whether it is the old 5 year warranty package with one year assistance or the new triple-care package.

BTW Welcome to the club :goodjob: :goodjob:
