I must be.
Because while everyone else has a life and spent their Sunday doing really exciting things like paragliding and mountain climbing, I was looking at car yards.
And even if others were looking at car yards, they would be at places that sell Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, maybe BMW.
But not me. I was Hyundai dealerships.
But I did see something interesting.
One dealership only had an i40 sedan so I took some photos for all you others sad bastards who like looking at Hyundais too.  :)
This one is an Active automatic so that answers that question. Despite the H/A website showing only Elite & Premium models available, they are selling Actives too therefore diesel manuals will be available.
It looked really nice in the flesh (metal? :undecided:). Very nice in fact.
The upmarket ones will look even better I expect given their larger alloys.
Melt away, fellow sufferers:    :)

I'm a sad bastard now I want one  :'(

If you go to the car sales site and research the i40 it gives details and prices of each model starting with the $29,990 2.0 petrol active

Thanks for the pictures Dave (I like the back of the sedan more than the touring)

Can you point me to that Dazz because everything I read was that the sedan was going to be diesel only to fill the gap between Elantra and i45 (petrol only)?
They must have changed their minds.

I could be tempted by that model, though the "fluidic sculpture" still doesn't give me orgiastic feelings :(

PS, why is it sweating

Those rims seem a touch on the small side. Would look much nicer with a few extra inches (wouldn't we all).

The Sad Bastard Test

Each question requires a "yes" or a "no" answer. You can tick the boxes in the grid at the end of this article if you want, but any spare piece of skin and a biro will do.

Do not quibble about interpretation. Make up your own mind as to what the questions mean. You don't get a free point by writing your name at the top of the page. Count up your "yes" answers; this sum is used to calculate your final score.

They are bigger on the higher models ... :goodjob: (The base model i40 sedan/i40Tourer definitely looks under tired in the base model
