So, I'm in the process of upgrading the stereo in my car and decided to sound deaden the car first while I wait for the other stereo bits and bobs to arrive from overseas.

I purchased two bulk packs of dynamat xtreme and got to work on the doors. I pulled the glass, regulator and wiring out of each door and deadened the inside of the outer door skin on each door, fitted Dynaxorb directly behind the speakers then put them back together for the time being.

Those tinny sounding factory speakers which had next to no bass response at all are PUMPING out the bass now! The difference is day and night, very punchy and crisp. It seems all of the air the speakers shifted before was being lost in the process of vibrating the panels, but now its all being forced into the car :)

It'll be interesting to see if the car will be any quieter on the road. The boot will be tomorrows mission :)
