I'm up.
Finally got a bit of (broken) sleep. I put the air con on before I went back to bed.
In these heat waves it needs to be on 24/7 but it's not practical as we don't have solar power and it's nothing to get a $1000 power bill for two months in summer in W.A. if you over do the air con (thanks to the state govt who have increased & increased utility charges).
Then after I finally got to sleep I was pestered by a rogue mosquito which decided it liked the taste of me.
I hate the high-pitched buzzing sound around your ears that wakes you up, then if you turn the light on to track it down, invariably you can't find it because they go into hiding and then you're wide awake again.
Back to bed, lights out, five minutes later just as you're dozing off......buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
So, I'm up, tired, lethargic, grumpy have a head ache but otherwise just fine.
Already have temps in the thirties (it was 30 degrees at 7.00 am) and rising......

Stay cool Dave. $1000 power bill for two months, crikey, blame Joooolia Gillard and her stupid carbon tax.

We are all electric, no solar, but off peak off water. Our Sept-Dec bill was $404, I thought that was a lot, think I will stay in NSW. :goodjob2:  Happy New Year

Thanks Lester.
As vocal as I am about our beloved PM, I must also point the finger at our state Liberal govt here.
Admittedly the previous Labor govt had neglected to increase utility costs for the past eight years, and that was negligent, and I understand that the Libs had to do something about it (as they always do), but they've done too much too quickly.
It is really hurting a lot of West Aussies and they will pay a price at the forthcoming election on March 9th.
I'm not sure it will be enough for them to lose government over (hopefully not), but in any case it will have a big impact on the votes they receive and understandably so.
