Any new information about this topic?

And..one more question..
When we were debating about the differences between 115 and 90 hp i30, we were talking only about the engine (ok that was the main question).. But (I hope this is not an off-topic or a stupid question..) - does anybody know if there are some other differences -> gearbox, clutch, brakes..?

some info:

90 -> 114hp
115 -> 145hp

I think the best information comes from manufacturer (hyundai motors co), so if someone can email them? Soul-mate or someone?

I don't think so either that there are any differences between them, for me its not logical to have same engine but different clutch, gearbox, brakes etc. because that would mean that you had to change production and thats not economic, its much cheaper to make the same car and just make a ECU modification. But thats just my opinion, i could be totally wrong. It sounds good in my head.  :D

I don't have the answer, but i think if the 90hp needed different gear ratio's they would just change the diff ratio. so just look at a Hyundai spec's for 90hp then one for 115hp and compare.

They have identical gear ratios. Also the differential ratio.

I think now that there could be different turbo, based where the car is build and when?

I am now so interested that i have to dig more of this  :cool:

Have you found any new info about this?

This image is from my turbo:

28201-2A400 refers to GT1544V. I've the same engine than you (115 hp), but you have GT1749VA.
