That's a wind sock, not a weather cock!!  Should there be another comma in that sentence?

Perhaps, says the Cat in the Hat, you could opt for a cock in a sock.  :whistler:

I think it is called "thread creep", which is much better than "mission creep". Would you agree, Gonz?

I just Googled "weather cock" image and that came up.
I wouldn't know the difference between a cock and a sock.

I can't decide whether the weather is important enough to buy one or not.

Everyone talks about the weather, but no one does anything about it.

OK, an update on our weather station.

Easy enough to set up and ironically we have had the wettest 3 days I've seen had in a long time.

Just using the EasyWeather software that came with it at the moment.

Here is a screen capture of the a report I got up last night .. We've had another 18mm today so over 70mm (nearly 3 inches) of Rain in less than 72 hours since I set it up.

This is quite a bit more than the local weather station reckons (10kms away at the airport)

They are saying about 45mm in the last 3 days.. (we've had heaps here so I reckon ours is right for our catchment)

Bob, The rain catcher thing seems to be doing the job even though it is small (so I might leave the Malteser Bucket mod for now) but will try that other software  :goodjob:
