I have the same wind deflectors (produced by the Polish company Team HECO). I have had the Heco wind deflectors in several cars, they are very good quality. On hot days you can leave slightly open windows  and it is not raining inside in the cabin.

I prefer to use air con than have window open as i get a bufferting effect.

Yes, but I thought about a parked car (eg, when I'm at work). When I leave the window ajar, then the interior heats up less.
While driving, of course, I also use air con.

Good call and when you open the door you won't get that woosh of hot air escaping

That is what was so good about a sunroof.
Being able to leave it slightly ajar so that all the hot air rose up and exited the car.
Plus with the rain sensors, if it happened to sprinkle it would automatically close.
Having owned one on my last car I decided that I'm not a huge sunroof fan and tended not to drive with it open much, but it was good for the hot air issue.
