Read an article today which stated that there are numerous oil tankers anchored off the UK coast just left there until fuel prices increase.

They are artificially restricting supply of crude to drive up the price.

Also, price at the pump is rising faster than when crude was at its highest last year.

Only consolation for me is that it now effecting unleaded rather than diesel.

Yes it's a dangerous scenario. There are several cargo ships refusing to offload as the price they would receive at docking point would be around $46/barrel, which compares unfavourably to the $149/barrel they would have received last October.

Diesel has gone up a few cents here, what brands of fuel do you have in GB? is it easy to find premium diesel there?

Besides the supemarket brands the most popular around where I live are Shell and BP.

There are number of independents but prices are not discounted any more.

They sell normal and V power or premium in both unleaded and diesel.
