 We’ve seen a rash of cheap smartphones lately, but this is the most affordable yet. It’s called the Mozilla Intex Cloud FX, and it costs just under £20.

The handset is only going to be released in India for the moment, where it will cost 1,999 rupees, which works out at £19.92 - an absolute bargain.

The phone runs Mozilla’s Firefox OS, which is nowhere near as popular as Android or Apple’s iOS, and as you’d expect, the specs are a bit basic by today’s standards. But it looks perfectly capable as a day-to-day device for calling and light internet use.

It's a pity they could not include 3G as I believe that is what would be the biggest selling point. People won't like running after Wifi hotspots just to check e-mails and Facebook.

I wonder what the Firefox OS is based upon?
