Hi, I just picked up my 09 i30 Premium on Sat and all was well until I was driving home and the TMPS light came on so after a quick check of the manual I pulled in and checked my tyre pressure they were a bit unbalanced so I made sure they were all reading 32 on the pump thing (sorry im not very technical ) but the light is still on , and also the heating seems to be a bit funny?? cold air on the passenger side and it was warm the drivers side but when I whacked it all the way up ( it was freezing this morning in Ireland) the air was cold, also the bonnet was cold when I got out and I had driven a good 30miles.  I need to go back the garage later for the lock nut for the wheels so Ill definitely be saying it to them, any advice about the heating am I doing something wrong??

TPMS light on when pressures are correct normally comes down to malfunctioning or damaged sensor. How many KM's on the vehicle? Would it have had new tyres yet?

Heater operation is difficult to say, not 100% sure what heating/cooling your I30 has (i am in Australia) but they are generally fairly straight forward to operate so i don't think you would be operating it wrong.

Did you buy from a dealer with used car warranty? That will be your best bet.

its has 149k kms , tyres look fine, id say just the sensor is malfunctioning , I'll get them to check the heating when I go back this afternoon for the lock nut , I just hope there are no problems with coolant or air locks or anything like that I had major problems with the coolant system in my last car which was the main reason to change cars ( a ford fiesta) so fingers crossed its nothing serious I only have it since Saturday but I got a 3mt warranty from the dealer, thanks for your reply

Cooling issues are very uncommon in the I30's. At a guess i would say its more likely a temp control motor problem.

As for TPMS, at 150000km you would expect to be on at least its 3rd set of tyres so 2 chances to damage a sensor. Another thought tgat i just had wasaee they actually fitted? Does it have the original rims on the car?
