A man promised free beer for life by his landlord when he reached the age of 100 is toasting his longevity.

The landlord at The Bowling Green pub in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Manchester, is now ruing the promise he made seven years ago to Arthur Johnson.

Mr Johnson has been taking advantage of the offer since he reached his milestone in March.
