Hi,
After I picked up my car I noticed that the passenger side of the car's speaker system is not working.
I had the BT Phone kit installed and assumed that they hadn't hooked up the left side when connecting the BT.
My assumption was correct when I called the dealership who said it has happened a couple of times in the past, and not to worry it's a simple fix.  When I asked about when I could bring it in to have this fixed they said it will have to wait until the next service - pffft once they've got your money you just get in queue!
Whilst my next service (1st one) is probably only a couple of weeks away max it just bugs me that I only have the right side speakers operational.
Is it easy to get to the rear of the sound system? - I'm sure it's a matter of just connecting the left side back in!
I've installed a couple of head units/speaker systems in the past, but it's always the hardest part in getting to the original system and getting it out.
I don't want to attempt to pull it apart if it's a real fiddly job and it takes me a couple of hours to do.

That's poor service. I'd ring them again and tell them you want it fixed sooner, you are not being unresonable

Hi clackerz,

I wouldn't try to fix it yourself at this time, if you get it wrong it will end up being on you.
The dealer should be able to fit you in and repair it properly and promptly. Call them and tell that it's 'unsatisfactory' and you want it attended to immediately!

I've said it before and i'll say it again.. If they won't attend to it sooner if you ask again politely refer them to this thread and the negative exposure they will get..

I agree!
They should be ashamed, when they have done a bad job like that with the installation of your phone kit...

Funnily enough when I called them back to get it in to be fixed they were booked out for a week - which brings me to my 1000km service anyhoo - coincidence?

Anyway I am assured it will be fixed no probs......
