Even though we did all the work - we have been agreeably surprised at how much we have been able to improve the rear garden since we moved into the new house on October 30th 2019.

We were too busy on internal house renovations to give any attention to the garden during the winter months – apart from having the artificial lawn put down and the conservatory replaced by a larger one. Then just as we were bracing ourselves to attack the garden in March the Covid lock-down hit us and we were not able to get much in the way of plants.

Here are 3 pairs of photos – the first showing how things were when we moved in and the second of the pair showing how it is today.

Now you know why I have not been able to find the time to post as regularly on the forum

There is still a lot more to do of course during the coming summer. By this time next year the garden will be transformed and can only get better as it matures..

Congratulations guys,  great work. 
Look's fantastic,  conservatory has opened up and will be a great place sit.
Thought you said plants were difficult to get.
Unfortunately  that stunning clothes line got in the way of your plans and had to go, bet you miss it

@Shambles : it's a CCTV camera. There are others covering the front of the house and the road in front of us.

I moved them from the previous house where we lived in an area just off the main road between Solihull and Birmingham which was subject to more crime - rather than chuck the system away



Incidentally - now realising just how much detail you scrutinise in photos - before you ask - the white blob covering up the central letters in the SAMSUNG logo is white tack. I use it to stick notes to myself so I don't forget to remember the need to recall things from day to day.

I've been very busy helping Ashley with stuff the last few months but must get back into the garden and do a tidy up.
