Hi,
New owner of a Hyundai i30 in NZ.
The headlights never seem to turn off, unless the car is turned off. Even on the ‘off’ position headlights are turned on. Just bought it at an auction at a local dealership.
Is there something I’m doing wrong? Or do I need to get in touch with a mechanic?

Are they auto lights?

Check the stalk and see if there is a twist thingy which has various settings on.

Check you model online/handbook to see what features you have.

Try pushing the lock button twice, it overrides the lights  "on delay" timer

But daylight running lights should turn off if stopped with handbrake pulled ON.

Do they turn off after a delay after locking the car? deleted as stated they go off if car turned off.
