Hi I'm in need of some urgent advice as my 2012 fd crdi aircon compressor clutch disc hub has come off the compressor.  I am a long way from home in a small country town and just before I stopped I heard a rattle so I pulled over and on the road behind me is the clutch disc hub. I don't know whether the bolt has loosened and fallen out or sheared. It's dark and I will have to investigate in the morning. My main question is .... is the main belt pulley that the disc is bolted onto secured  to the compressor independently to the clutch hub disc. Right now I just want to be informed as to whether the belt would stay on the pulley so I can move on.?  Or does the single bolt that holds the clutch disc to the pulley do all the work holding the pulley onto the compressor.  Any advice appreciated.

As far as I'm aware, the bolt holds the outer hub on, the actual pulley should either be pressed on or possibly have a circlip holding it on, if you can get a phone camera down there you may be able to see a circlip.
