Apologies if these have already been discussed, but....
On ebay is a set of 5 SR Rims ( no tyres ), current price is only $450, in Qld.
Here's the link, but time is running out FAST!

Those are what I have. Very difficult to keep clean. The chrome-plated inserts can't easily be cleaned with regular alloy cleaner, as I found out shortly after buying Fergie (they pit badly if you use a cleaning agent that says "not suitable for chrome-plated fittings" and you didn't read the label )

Hi all, just managed to purchase these:) the auction was put up again, they should be arriving early next week. now i read that some sort of modification needs to be done in order to fit them on the SX model? reading the accessories pdf it does mention something about wheel spacers.

"*All 17” Alloy Wheels must be sold with a spacer
(No. AL522 1H100). Two spacers are needed per set
of four 17” Alloy Wheels.

is this what i need to purchase before fitting the wheels?

Hi Schumi5

Welcome to the club ..congrats on getting the wheels (they are a very nice design the SR wheels and the low profile tyres will make quite a difference to your handling...) :D

Believe you do need spacers and your turning circle will grow a bit.. Not sure of the finer details but someone will know..

I'm guessing that because the tyres are a bit wider it stops them rubbing when on full lock .. but not having had an SR don't know for sure.. hopefully another member can shed some light..

I think I read something somewhere in this forum that the spacers corrected the steering geometry so that you don't get an usually large turning circle, and tyres don't scrub in the process.

Make sure you don't need to extend your wheel stubs when installing spacers !
