Hi from the Coyote in Brisbane, Aus

Hi everyone,
Just bought a Phantom Black 2011 i30 1.6l CRDI Auto Hatch and will be collecting it anyday now.

Looking forward to driving it . Not my first diesel experience though. Also have a 2008 Kia Sorento 2.5l CRDI that I use for towing my Caravan around the country. Reading here, there are many similar things that can go wrong which are similar to that of the Kia. Understandable as Hyundai is the parent company on Kia

Welcome WC .. not much goes wrong with i30's

Could do with an extra gear in the auto and economy suffers a bit compared to the manual but apparently the Auto CRDi is still a great drive

We've only had a manual CRDi and 2.0 Petrol...

Thanks for the welcome everybody. Understand the limitations of the auto but the MOWAF has to drive an Auto so if it's auto she wants - auto she gets.... It will surpass the fuel economy that I got with our previous 'day car' anyway. My Kia Sorento gets better fuel economy than the previous 'day car'.

Having picked our SR Hatch up on Tuesday, I know the feeling! Enjoy. I must go and test drive a diesel one day, It's a pity you can't get one in an SR though.

Might not be a good idea, we don't want you dissatisfied when you have to go back to your petrol engine....
