Hello and hope another member whose bought an AUTO SX i30 recently, can tell me how good a deal I should expect during the sales coming up this weekend?

Appreciate your feedback as a new member looking specifically to making a purchase when the prices should be at their best.

Welcome Greenthumb... I'm sure some of our friendly members will be able to point you in the right direction.. :goodjob2:

Although, not everyone wants to divolge exactly what they paid for their car...

A good start would be to browse carsales.com for their best deals on the model you are looking for .. It makes a big difference if you are a cash buyer with no trade.. If you have a trade it is obviously the changeover that matters.. :winker:

I got what I thought was an OK deal by buying a PreReg which had only the 15mls delivery milage on the clock.  Without run ning round to get all the paperwork out I think I paid 8.350 UKP's plus my 7yr old Toyota Yaris. The Yaris, despite having quite low milage was in fact coming up for major spend in that.  When Idid a tight figure of eight to ets the CV joints they where clicking noticable and, since I am now too old and fat to be crawing about under cars I would have had to pay a garage to do the work, ergo, time to get rid...

Anyhow I got my i30 edition with the deal I have just outlined...  then waited for the usual peeps (no one here of course) to crawl out of the woodwork saying "Oh I coulda got one one cheaper than that" or....  well ya know what I mean  :scared:

Anyhow, good luck with your adventure, keep us informed   :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob:

P.S. Asa forgot to mention you will need to allow for exchange rates and the the cost of freight from the UK if you want to use that price as a guide  :winker:

Decide on your budget + or- a few $ as to what you want to pay and if it comes within that price then just go for it.

I've found that by waiting/checking other dealers/suppliers the deal that was on the table gets pulled and you end up paying more.

ps Welcome to the site
  • 1.4 Petrol Active I'm no expert, so please correct me if

I agree with Lester .. play hard ball to a certain extent but if they can find you the right colour at a fair price just go for it.. :goodjob:
