Thursday: mowing the lawn, one of the mower's wheels blows out.
Saturday: go out to the garage, the wives car has a flat.
Sunday: take the kids out to a concert (it gets worse) come home and the bathroom window is shattered.

They say things happen in threes, but the wives radiator last week makes four.....does this mean another. Does this mean that I'm due two more?

Bummer, Beerman.
How did the bathroom window shatter? Could it have been from the lawnmower?
If so, that's your three.  :)

A blowout on your mower?
Overheated from too much speed? :happydance:

Old mate next door mowed his lawn today, and he is on the upside of the hill, so I suspect he has flicked a rock and its gone through the window. He wouldn't even know he did it.

As for the wheel, it has spent many rotations rubbing against the side of the house, so it finally gave up. $21 on ebay, so no big deal.

The bathroom window is $485 (frosted, safety glass) (would have been $685 today) excess is $200, but I don't know how claiming will affect next years premium, so I'm going to find out before deciding if I'm paying $485 or $200.

a few of us have had a run of bad luck lately beerman,it will end .   with the bathroom window, there is some stick on frosting you can buy in a roll and stick it on like contact. if you replace the glass with clear and use the stuff i mentioned it would only cost about $100.   my father in law used some of that frosted contact on a window that gets full sun,10 years on and it still looks as good as the day it went on.  :goodjob2: :goodjob:

because it is a bathroom it needs to be safety glass (which makes sense I guess).

Because insurance will pay over $200, I'm happy to get the real deal because its their coin.

I don't really believe in coincidences so maybe those things which you considered as bad luck are things that are really meant to happen, I just don't know why. :whistler: But as we all know it, things like this happens normally to anyone so better not worry too much.

Anyway, have you guys heard about the new automated self-banning system? Simple pimple. Make a spam post then sit back and watch your membership dissolve.

Works a trea...
