Pip
Well for the piddling price to get all that kit and that it even works is simply amazing. I'd pay more though for better quality optics. Thanks for giving us a review of that one Russ. :D

Just where, how did it mount? It was very stable. :goodjob2:

Thanks pip.... :goodjob:

It was mounted alongside the rear view mirror. I just put it there as I thought it was less likely to interfere with my driving vision.
You can actually see the shaded part of the windscreen that's behind the rear mirror in the top right hand corner of the video....  :)
I might have a play with other locations down the track.

Just went for a quick blat around my test loop to see how the camera performed this time after cleaning the lens...and after putting the new SD card in that arrived this afternoon... :D

To me, it seems better than the first one but I'll let you all be the judge after I upload it to youtube. Could take a while though as it goes for close on 14 minutes.  :whistler:

I'll post it in "MEMBERS MOTORING VIDEOS"

It sounds like you've nailed the problem then. :whistler:
They can be difficult to put your finger on sometimes. :whistler:
I didn't think it looked too bad but then I didn't have my glasses on so it was noi more blurred than anything else.  :)

Yeah, I've cleaned up my act, Dave..... :p

While the difference isn't huge, it's certainly an improvement on the first one....well, I think so... :D

Figured you lot were getting sick of waiting for my video so I've posted it up minus music soundtrack.

Either turn off the sound or put up with the racket..... :D

I just bought one.
I went to that link Rusty but they're out of stock so I paid $5.50 more and got it from eBay.  :D

Good stuff ... They are getting quite readily available I think "Mwave" is selling them too now for $99 (or it might be i-tech or Techbuy (one of the electronic sites that haunts me ) :whistler:

For me, the postage is the deal breaker with  some sites, such as Mwave, Daz..... :(
It's completely out of proportion for the article being sent.....try $16 for a $3.99 SD card?

I wasn't advocating one from them.. I certainly take the delivered cost into account (that is often where Ebay is a winner)

I've got a new charger (and battery) coming for my Benq M1 delivered for $15.95  :happydance:

Just as soon as I work out how to do it.
I've never uploaded video to YouTube or Photobucket etc so I'll need to do my homework first.  :)

Now I can  :D
See, here's a totally irrelevant one to prove it:  :P

I had never uploaded video to Photobucket either until a few days ago. I found it quite easy. First I had to convert my camera's MOV file to AVI using Pazera Free MOV to AVI Converter which Dazz recommended some time ago and I then uploaded the AVI file to Photobucket just like uploading a photo.

For those with an Android smartphone the alternative could be (i) a Cygnett DashView Universal Car Mount for about $15 and (ii) the free DailyRoads Voyager app. It is very easy to use and has a good range of video quality settings.
If you want to go one step further you could buy (iii) a ELM327 mini OBD2 v1.5 Car Diagnostic Scanner for about $10 and purchase (iv) the Torque Pro app for $5. The developer of Torque also offers a free Track Recorder plugin. With that you will have a car crash cam with configurable superimposed data (like revs, GPS location, speed etc). For your consideration  :goodjob2:
