Proof that I should not browse this forum before coffee  could have sworn I edited and fixed it

I found the suspect fuse...I happened to overlook the RH tail light fuse which was to hell and gone blown, and took with it my fog lights, rear right side tail light, glovebox and instrument housing light. Replaced it with a spare and all is well in Hippoland again :goodjob2:

I then went to Midas with the intention of buying replacement fuses, but instead walked out with hand cleaner, LED bulbs, cable ties and copper compound. Best of all? I forgot the fuses

Has anyone seen my mind? I seem to have lost it :whistler:

- In 2 minutes' time I begin fasting to have a course of vaccinations tomorrow morning ahead of my posting to Indonesia.

+ Talking to an Indonesian Air Force pilot tonight over my 'last supper', he tells me his mobile phone charge back home is $4.30 per month unlimited calls and data, no contract! :happydance:

Yikes...$4.50 gets me 8 or 9 minutes if I'm lucky. Those are some good rates!

+ I put Coppaslip on my brake pads today and lo and behold, the noisy brakes are a thing of the past!
- The LED lights I bought to replace my park lights aren't exactly white...they were incorrectly labeled and now I have two amber park lights
-+ Dad and I were busy fixing the diesel generator (stator was sent off to be rewired) when a rogue spark from the welder hit some dried grass and set the veld alight. I was around the corner out of sight and earshot. I thought it odd that I smelled burning veld, but paid no mind as this is burning season in our area. When I saw a huge plume of smoke I ran and grabbed the hosepipe and we managed to get the fire under control. Close call!
+ I am going up to Cape Town to see a friend of mine who I haven't seen since 2010. I'm planning the trip around August so that we'll have good weather to go and see the wine farms (she likes wine but I'll go for the beer) and the scenery. We might even go to the Franschhoek Motor Museum if time permits! :)

Ouch! how'd you do that?

moving wood probably.......
Give the man a prize  but not the Timber I have been bringing home, was delivering D Bar we are meant to bring the gluts seperating the layers back to the yard, well the other day it was pissing down,so a combination of wet leather gloves, wet gluts and trying to reach up and stack them up on a wet steel flat rack, one slipped out of my hand hit the ground end on then fell towards my feet, couldn't move em quick even before it smacked me fare in the front of my ankle and in my usual calmness,I just said a few quite words then continued on working.  :goodjob2:

Google was not much help...:link: GLUTS & ABS

D Bar,short for Deformed bar, stuff we deliver is anywhere between 12mm to 36mm in diameter and 12 metres long, bundle weights are from 1.8 tonne to 2.25 tonne, thirteen to a load, picture below to give you an idea of what it looks like, generally 6 per layer and one ontop of the second layer, gluts are used to keep it up off the deck of the flatrack and between layers to seperate them

Gluts, simplest explanation pieces of timber 100x100mm by 1400mm long the ones we use are softwood(bit like Dave )sometimes hardwood(but again like Dave not often  )weight about  20 lb so when they hit the deck end on and fall into your legs it doesn't tickle I can tell ya

It was actually during the refuel of the aircraft.  I bent over to sign for the fuel and hit my head on the corner of the fuel pump shed.
