Thanks.
Black grill will come in time if I dont do an update nose cone which is what I really want.
Like one off a Grand model? chroming it would look nice too.

Sorry the 97-01 facelift model is refered to as the XJ update around the Jeep circles. I think its a much nicer front end.

That with clear indicators is what I will do eventually. Will probably replicate the grill blackouts on mine soon for the time being.

Mine again for comparison.

Just had my license renewed in Tassie for five years. $52.50 per head, so I was up for $105.

Collins class submarines are world class conventional submarines. Very hard to find. Much easier to find a nuclear boat or a regional submarine than a Collins class.

Nuclear submarines make lots and lots of noise, even when stopped. Diesel electrics don't.

Back in the 80's they did a test with the American nuke subs and how far they could pick them up......it seems that they are noisey little devils ....when it was leaving Sydney Harbour it was picked up in Melbourne and Adelaide....might need something like the Red October........ :winker:

+ We can renew our licenses on line.
- Bit more than $35 though.
+ They last 5 years.
Ours are also five years (can't believe I've been legally driving for 5 years ), but it's a pain to have it renewed :(

Also we don't have the luxury of doing it online. Physical queues are the way forward (sic) in Africa :whistler:

It also looks like it's hair season around here :p

Tim, your Jeep looks good! I wish I had the time to tackle a project like that :goodjob:

I only got the time this week because im off work doing the kids school and stuff while wife does a 5 day week at her new job to get her trained up.
Ive had 3 days between school drop off and pickup to myself 😊 certainly something I could get used to.

Just had to renew my licence and the wife's licence in Qld ( both due the same time )  $160 each for five years. :(

Is that a + or a - ?   :undecided:

$320 for five years for the both of us I think is bit steep, ( that is a - ) also could not  renew on line as we now have a new type licence with a chip implanted but can next time. At my age being able to get the licence for five years instead of ten is a +  :snigger:

- leave for work in an hour

-- it is going to be a bloody cold night

++ I get to take the i40
+ noticed last night the headlights move as you go around a corner so you can see. Wigged me out when it first happened, then I was zig zagging down roads.... I don't know why they didn't mention it, it is a cool feature, albeit mostly useless.....

Wow what a read. He sure liked doing things his own way. Not surprised it flopped, too many unconventional ideas in one package and rushed.

What are your temps like? As it is weekend we have rain..so much for washing my car. But at least it isn't -3*C like it was on Tuesday

I really dig those adaptive headlights, They are especially useful when maneuvering in tight spots when lighting conditions aren't stellar (parking close to a wall or other cars etc.)

Congrats on the purchase :goodjob2: :goodjob2: :goodjob2:

+ I received a letter from a certain Tasmanian member today and inside was my i30 Owner's Club sticker!   I am going to try and place it tomorrow, weather permitting :victory:

Why just blame Guest?  After all, it is not all Guest's fault.
