I am rather happy with the result, any thoughts?

Hi Eyma,

It looks very different with those wheels, lowered and with spoiler . Different from an SR and different from an SLX. I admire Links honesty. If I didn't like it I just wouldn't say anything.

I think it looks good (probably prefer the wheel on the Sonata but that wouldn't have suited the i30 as much) It makes your car very distinctive which is what I think you wanted!

Cheers,

Dazz

Hey links, thats cool.
They may not be everyones cup of tea. (No pun intended LOL) I wasnt totally wraped in them when my wife suggested them, but the more i looked at them, the more potential i though they had. Now there on the car, i am quite relieved as i wasnt sure how the would look.
I actually really like the standard wheels on the Slx, that wasnt why i changed them. I just have  thing about big wheels and am allways looking for new ways to waste money.  :?

Thanks Lakes. The alloys were of a very light design, that was a part of our consideration.
As for the Sonata, i loved that car. Nearly cried when we parted with it. Ours was the 3.3 v6 and just to thirsty. I really miss it, making it worse, i see it nearly every day as the new owner lives near by. Oh well, I have cut my fuel consuption in half :D

Cheers

sorry >< but yeah, our ooooold excel used to have alloys that look exactly the same as that...thats probably why i dont see it as thaaaat big >< but its awesome to have unique i30s around! but yeah, it would be hard to find a good match for the i30 so i must pay, good choice eyma  :D

Just my opinion - but I like the alloys on the i30.

They all look good, originals and new ones!

What happened to the old Alloys?
Remember some people only have 15" steel.
Anyone with spare 16" Alloys should advertise them on this site.

Good point K-Kid,
I had sold the original to a person who was buying a sx model. They however got tired of waiting and pulled out of the dael so I still have them and would certainley sell them to any member interested. Close to Canberra is probabley best as the cost of poastage may be a problem.

114.5 x 5 and bout a 28 offset by memory but the wheel shop should have the measurements. The i30 has the same stud pattern as a falcon you just shouldn't go wider than 7.5".

Hey, how much did you lower your i30? And what sort of springs/things did you use? Is it the original lowering kit that you can buy?
