Some piccies I took today of my '07 SR:

Still a beauty, and can't fault it after nearly 5 years and 75,000km!  :D :happydance:

I'm thinking of doing a few mods to her now though, such as LED tail lights, in dash touch screen player etc. Has anyone got any tips on what sort of accessories would be nice to add to 'enhance' her in middle age, without it being to garish?

Excellent post mate  :goodjob: By the way are you any relation to Buddy Franklin.. :snigger:

Pretty hard to dress up the SR (looks pretty good already  :goodjob:) Get a good touchsreen with reversing camera if you can.. There are some threads on here worth a look some are  alot better than others apparently

LED Tail lights sound good too .. Because it is superceded now you will need to act fairly quickly as your choices will dry up (but you might get a clearance bargain)  :happydance:

Search i30 Accessories on Ebay for some ideas  :winker:

Thanks Dazzler!

Yeah I've been keeping an eye on a few things on eBay. If I do get a touchscreen, are they fully compatible with the steering wheel controls, console iPod connector etc?

Your car looks stunning - great to hear it's still going great.
It would have to be one of the oldest on the forum, of course, being an '07.

Looks nice buddy. How do you rate the P7's?

The P7's have been great, quieter and grippier than the original tyres. Wear seems to be better as well.  :)

It amazes me that this car has not missed a beat mechanically in all this time! She does do a fair bit of highway driving though.

In nearly 5 years, all that has gone wrong is:

*Rear spoiler had to be replaced, the original was fitted incorrectly
*Rear left hand door lock stopped working (happened in the first 2 months)

and that's it.  :happydance:

My i30 is a 07 compliance bought in Jan 08 diesel and seriously, yours and my i30s that were made in korea just keep going and seem to have no problems at all! Mine is mint just like yours buddy but I have nearly hit 100,000 in mine though. Hopefully its another 5 more years with no troubles  :P

I'm pretty sure some others have got that to work (read the fine print on the sale websites or ebay) also browse through the mods section of the forum (guess they would mainly be in the Non-model Specific Section)
