Thousands of cars, lorries and motorists became stuck for up to three days in a huge traffic jam on a motorway northwest of Moscow after Russia was hit by heavy snowfall.

The length of the queue on the M-10 highway, which is one of the busiest in the country, was put at up to 120 miles (200km), according to media reports.

Some 4,000 trucks were thought to be involved.

hmm, I have heard about 100km jam, not 200.
I found many trucks pulled over along Moskovskoe highway (a road, that connects Moscow and Saint-Petersburg, where that terrific traffic jam was said to have taken place) when I was driving to Tosno, the night, when I encountered that strange car (that is in my video)

I could be wrong, but that photo looks like it was taken in Beijing.   The buses and registration plates are definitely those used in Beijing.
Also, the fact that the people in the photo are dressed lightly tends to indicate it was taken during a warmer time of the year.

you are right, that is unlikely to be Russia, not to mention Moscow, but it may happen there and it does every week/month due to a huge number of cars.
