Hi all,

I am from Hanoi, Vietnam. I am going to buy an i30cw imported from Korea. I want to be consulted about selection, test features of i30cw.

As I know, i30 from Korea has 3 main versions: 1.6 VVT; 2.0 VVT; 1.6 VGT. In each version, it has some levels as Trendy, Deluxe, Luxury, Premier, and Extreme. The car I will buy is 1.6 VVT Premier (but I don't really know what is 1.6 VGT, is it diesel version?).

When I download a file from Hyundai Korea website (this is link: http://cybermall.hyundai-motor.com/Common/Images/CarPdf/i30cw_20081219.pdf), I read that 1.6 VVT has two more options: VDC (value 610.000) and one more (value 450.000) but I don't understand the remaining (which is 450.000) because the file is written by Korean. Could you please explain the feature of that?

Besides, Can you guide me about the way to test two more options features above? The sellers in Vietnam are not true about them. So, I want to know how to check by myself. You show me the test to check all car when buy a new one.

By the way, I disclose the price of i30cw 1.6 VVT premier in Vietnam to you. It is about 35,000 USD gross of register. Is it too high, right? Because the tax in Vietnam is very high too.

I hope  you reply asap.

I appreciate your consultant.

To more convenient, please email me to: thnam109(at)gmail.com

When I buy my car already. I will post some pics up to our forum.

Thank you so much!

Hi MultiN...

I am not perhaps the best to answer all your questions about the CW as none have been sold in Australia yet (although it is expected in 2009) I did a search and VGT appears to be the 90 horsepower variant of the 1.6 diesel engine

(see links...

and

Hope that helps a bit (I'm sure others will know more)

Can't comment as I drive the i30 hatch but the 1 I've seen at the dealers is impressive.
