have addresssed the pros and cons of the bonnet protector, the little strip of plastic that attaches
to the leading edge of the engine hood designed to shield the hood from stone chips.
Both the left and right hand bonnet protector clips on my i30 have started to show signs of rust and the only thing
stopping the rust from staining the white duco is a thin piece of clear plastic tape.
The protector itself is an authentic Hyundai accessory and so I will be getting it attended to under warranty
in my next service.
The headlight protectors ( seen at left below ) appear to have stainless steel clips attaching them and show no signs of rusting
