As Rusty's link said, it is not harvested anymore, but can be salvaged.  There is still plenty of the stuff lying around (in peoples sheds as old boats, furniture, etc).  I know of one place that built a small Huon Pine boat from scratch, getting the wood from wherever they could.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing, Dazz. I'd pack that sucker full of holes for maximum yield.
