I've not washed my car for some 8 weeks because of the bad weather and I've had the flu (still suffering - ahhh)

Usually at this time of year I would wash it on average every 2 weeks and give it a good spray underneath/wheel arches to remove any rock salt (stuff they put on the roads when the temperature is freezing or below).

So I was wondering how often other owners wash their car, hence the poll.

Fergie is currently very filthy and covered of salt.

I'd normally wash her every 2 weeks usually on a Sunday, but as the weather is hopeless I've not bothered since 1st week in November (day before I went for replacement allow inserts).

I generally wash it every Sunday. More often if it needs it.
I am pretty proud of my little beast, So like her to look her best.
I try to polish and wax her about every 6-8 weeks too.

I washed mine ... 4 months ago ...

I really hate washing cars. It takes to long! Spray it with water, remove all the dirt, spray again with water, then dry, then wax (I never wax it...), then clean inside, clean the windows with special soap and so on !!!!!

Not often enough!.. (about once a month) I spend a lot of time on my block and it gets pretty dirty inside and out .. so I go for quality wash rather than quantity...

I usually have a blitz and do both cars inside and out (all at once)

i washed her saturday afternoon... then it rained most of the night.

bez10y
Bez gets washed when she accumulated a thick enough layer of dust (I work near a cement works unfortunately) that she starts to change colour from silver to cement.

It usually works out to about once every three weeks. We take both our cars up the the local car wash cafe, they do a pretty good job for about $25 and you can request leather care interior etc for a bit extra.

We usually have a coffee and hot chips while we wait, it's very cosmopolitan ;)

Suppose I can say anything I want cause I havn't got the car yet. (Got a phone call from dealership today, its finally arrived)But since I got lifetime "car spa" thrown in as part of my deal I intend to take it up once a week as its a 10min drive from home. We will see what happens when it comes to the crunch though :)

forgive me i30ownersclub for i have transgressed
i had planned to wash Snow weekly to fortnightly. it has now been over 3 weeks since i have last washed my car (apart from the leather seat clean a fortnight ago) perhaps even longer.
events have conspired against me such as the rain and having to go to work and those blasted christmas holidays .

but i did buy some bug cleaner and a pretty microfibre towel for her! she seems to appreciate them.
i shall try to do better i30ownersclub.

I take Viv to the car wash guys at a nearby shopping centre.  She gets a wash and vac about once every 6 weeks. I always intend to take her to the local d-i-y car wash to get the dust off, but it never seems to happen.  My drive to work takes me over country roads, so she is generally dirty within the next day or so.  Damn drought makes the roads so dusty and even the rain is dusty most of the time.

Yeah "dirty rain" is a problem even down here lately.. A good rain will rinse the car off nicely but the little drizzle we get lately just drags the dust out of the air on to my car (and probably a few other peoples too..)

Total ownership   five months
Exterior washed:
- Every week (for the first two weeks)
- Every month (for the next three months)
- Never since

However, i always clean the interior (seats & floor) with the vacum-cleaner 1 or 2 times a month and wipe dash & door panels with a soft cloth every 2-3 days as the polished parts of the dash seems to be a dust magnet (and i hate cockpit sprays).
Of course, always wash my cars after i've been back from vacations near the sea (inside-out & under with warm water)

Many Service centres wash the car as part of the service anyway (although you would be no doubt charged for the time involved)...

I always make sure I say "no thanks" to a free wash in advance, as I wouldn't be sure they would be as thorough using clean water and equipment as me. If they wanna vaccum the inside though they can

I, like 50% of the UK population, washed my car today. First oppertunity weather-wise since a week before Christmas.

Yep me too, first chance I have had to use the Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo.  Very, very nice, the extra depth to the colour is noticeable with one wash

i'm having 'dirty rain' up here as well

a light drizzle on the car and next day i can see what looks like someone splashed soft drink against the car, dark brown water marks. a couple of times i thought it really was coke, it was so dark and almost tacky. but its from the coal dust. (well still coke i guess ) its very frustrating.
