India Dining in Warlingham used a ghost chilli, a scotch bonnet and a habanera in the egg, and said it was up to 10 times hotter than a vindaloo.

Don't like Sweet and savoury mixed (except sweet and sour) and will only eat mild curries or mild, sweet chilli dishes... :confused:

Not particularly Easter- or egg- related, but I've just ordered a lamb karahi with a vegetable phaal sauce. Hot as hell, guaranteed to burn the mouth and almost fatal if you're unprepared for it.

We came to learn in our time in the UK that Indian food is pretty much the English staple. A good thing, too. I don't mind a Beef Vindaloo on the high end of the scale, and I've had hot chocolate from the Woodside factory (although it was quite mild to my taste).

I get a nice kick (pun intended I guess) out of walking up to the chilli sauce guy at the Adelaide Show and asking for his 12+, then looking mildly impressed, THEN standing back and watching others try it and race for the taps.  :lol:

In my travels, I've found the hottest Indian food to be in the UK, not India!!

If I'm not sniffing, and my forehead covered in bullets of sweat, then the curry isn't hot enough.

Ground mustard seed and/or mustard seed oil is an ingredient in some of the hottest curries. On its own, ground mustard is even hotter than a hot chilli I think. About 1/4 teaspoon of the mustard powder in a curry is enough to incinerate your tonsils.
