Yes Haddin and Smith dug us out of a hole again.  Enjoy your cucumber sambos lads. :D

Crikey, Brad Haddin and Jimmy Anderson are not drinking buddies, having a go at each other again.  Strong rumours Haddin will retire after this game. :'(

I don't think Pup would have invoked the follow on. Just got out there and racked up a decent score for you guys to chase. Still got three days to play with.  :whistler: :victory:

I gave up watching last night, just checking the online score occasionally. Too depressing.

Even our bats seem to be giving up.

Need some shake-ups I think.

Wonder how the Aussie team will fare against South Africa later this year ?

Glen McGrath would have never spoken to him again, today being pink day at the SCG. Imagine if he had enforced the follow on and had them all out yesterday.....

5/90

Those that are leaving just want to go....

Those that are staying just want to be on the jars.

Australia make light work of England to complete their Ashes whitewash at the SCG

AUSTRALIA'S cobbled together bunch of rejects and recycled players will be feted like royalty by adoring fans at the Sydney Opera House on Tuesday after completing a crushing 5-0 whitewash of England.

The culmination of a two-day celebration will honour Australian cricket's most unique achievement at one of this country's most unique landmarks.

Never before in 137 years of Test cricket has Australia decimated England so completely, winning the fifth Test in Sydney by 281 runs inside three days to finish with all 100 English wickets in a series for the first time.

And they did it as the Unchangeables, taking the same XI players through all five Tests after the selectors recalled man of the series Mitchell Johnson, 32, and his closest rival for the award, Brad Haddin.

Johnson's 37 wickets at just 14 apiece was the best series performance by any bowler in Australia since Rodney Hogg's 41 wickets in 1978-79 while Haddin saved Australia in every Test with his first innings bating, scoring 493 runs at 62.

I would just like to say to the Australian cricket team :-

Well done

To the England managers and coaches (or should that be, old boys club) you are a pile of shite.  We know you won't go out from under the money tree, but just know that your crap.

That's me done, I thank my lucky stars that due to time differences I did not have to endure this farce.

What a great sport you are, on behalf of ALL ORSTRALIANS I appreciate your kind comments. As for the England cricket team, chuck half of 'em out.

I have to say this but it was a rubbishy Orstralian KOOKABURRA BAT being used by Carberry that snapped.  No doubt he is sponsored and paid to use that brand. I have seen them for $9.99 in K Mart and Woolworths.

As for the Aussies in South Africa at least Kallis has retired,  a star that bloke.

I think this series was amazing for Australian pride.

It wasn't long back you guys were almost depressed about it.

I still have concerns its us that were rubbish rather than you that were great but I would wouldn't I lol!

We'll soon know one way or the other.

Glad cricket isn't my game though... pi$$ poor performance from our side...  :Pout:

They prefer to play Aussie Rules footy. Not too many ovals in the drier parts of Australia.
