Aldi to relaunch cut-price tablet - BT

Budget supermarket Aldi is to restock its cut-price tablet computer that sold out last year, the company has announced.

The Medion LifeTab E7318 will go on sale again at the end of March, in direct competition to Tesco and Argos, who have also released their own tablets in the last 12 months.

Priced at £79.99, the LifeTab undercuts Tesco's popular Hudl by £40, and Aldi revealed it has doubled the storage space of the LifeTab to 16GB; matching Hudl for the first time.

I have a HP slate-7 which also has a 7" screen, but find it just too small to be useful.

Still, at below £80, it might be great for some :)

They had a 10" quad core tablet here a month or two back for $199.
Pretty awesome deal.

Good size if you want to use it as an eBook reader.... :)
That 's what I mostly use mine for but in saying that, I'm currently browsing the forum on it....
Oh, and I do also find it great for watching movies...  :D

I tried a Nexus 7 tablet before I bought a Nexus 10 and went for the bigger one because on the 7" one the keyboard was too small and fiddly for my old fingers.

I have a Nexus 7 2nd Gen and, with the screen turned on it's side I find the keyboard quite easy to use. (I must have daintier fingers than you, Alan...it must be all those years playing the piano)  :whistler:

While the bigger 10" screen would no doubt be nice, for the sort of use I got it for, I find the 7" ideal.
It tucks into small travel bags so much easier and is that much more lighter when lying in bed using it as a e-book reader.

Horses for courses, I guess.....  :undecided:
