Speaking of Mercedes.....that reminds me of something I read some years back .....
Apparently to change a dash bulb in whatever model Mercedes it was, the whole dash had to come out.....  :undecided:
No idea whether it is actually true or not....
I can confirm that.
I thought that one of the hazard dash indication bulbs had "blown",  I stripped the main dash out - the bulb was ok, (I haven't even replaced one bulb) traced the problem to the hazard switch which had corroded  (there had been a flash thunderstorm & the roof was off) I just squirted WD40 in, & operated it a few times.
Everything then worked fine.
Took me a whole day :-[

All my doors were working fine. Maybe it is a new policy ?
I have now emailed my dealer, including a link to these relevant posts, and now await their response.

Just received this cryptic email (I don't understand it) my vehicle was not subject to a recall - it had a broken door cable.

Sorry about delay in reply, but ive been on holiday for 2 weeks, after checking we carried out the recall when your vehicle was in feburary, hope this answer your query.

I have replied, requesting "clarification".
