For me it depends. We went to a beer cafe where they matched beer to food and it was fantastic. I had an Irish Pale Ale and a really thick stout both matched to my entree and main, awesome stuff

I'm not a big drinker but enjoy the odd light beer.. Down here and some other Aussie places Cascade Premium light is very popular (Brewed in Hobart Tasmania). I guess it's an Ale?
