Saving up money so next year I can get some rims for my 2010 Elantra Touring. I know the GLS Sport came with 17" wheels with 215/45/17 tires. I do plan on getting some lowering springs also but wanted to know what would be better overall 17" or 18" wheels? Also if anybody has any picctures of a elantra running these setups (17" wheels & lowered and also 18" wheels & lowered) could you post pics it would help me with my decision.Thanks.

18" tyres on lowered suspension will be very harsh in an i30/elantra touring.. I would be sticking with the 17".

Plus if $ are tight 18" tyres will be dearer to replace.. (sorry to be a fun spoiler)

How does this pic grab ya :)

I still drool everytime I see that car, but I believe that its using 20" wheels, not much tire for city driving  :winker:

Tyres would be the least of the problems in city driving with that car, lowering + the depth of those side skirts would make it near impossible to gain access to any shopping centre ( not that you would take a car like that to a shopping centre ) and many fuel stations that decided to put speed humps in their entry and exit lanes
